Join Victoria Daskal for a jovial wine lunch full of delectable wines, decadent 3-course lunch at High Road Brasserie, and a celebration of joie de vivre. Inspired by her trip through the region, Victoria will present the history of Costières de Nîmes, explaining the key grapes and wine styles produced there along with fascinating stories about the men and women behind each bottle.
The most southerly appellation of the Rhône wine region in southeastern France, Costières de Nîmes was first planted with vines by the Ancient Greeks and is thus considered among the oldest in the world. It's the cross point between Languedoc and Rhone, with Mediterranean influences all the way through! The wines here range from crisp, mineral driven whites, vibrant and juicy rosés to rich and spicy reds. The producers are passionate for their land and pride themselves on their authentic, Southern French identity.
