Victoria Daskal is a wine writer, educator, consultant, and international judge with over 15 years of experience in the global wine industry, specialising in French wine and its cultural and historical context.

She is a regular contributor to leading international publications including the Financial Times and Decanter, writing on wine, travel, and gastronomy. Alongside her editorial work, Victoria judges at major international wine competitions and advises emerging and established wine brands on strategy, communication, and market positioning.

Victoria is Regional Ambassador for France for the Old Vine Conference, working closely with producers, trade, and media to champion the cultural, historical, and viticultural importance of old-vine wines across France. Her focus is on amplifying grower voices and creating meaningful opportunities for education and exchange through tastings, discussions, and immersive experiences.

She develops and leads wine and gastronomy tours across France for Martin Randall Travel, and curates tastings and masterclasses for trade, corporate, and private audiences in the UK and internationally.

After completing the OIV MSc in International Wine Management, Victoria worked with Jancis Robinson and later spent six years as Managing Editor of The World of Fine Wine. She holds the WSET Diploma with Merit and teaches at WSET School London.

With deep personal and professional ties to the Loire Valley and long-standing interests in Provence, Beaujolais, and Champagne, Victoria continues to explore France’s vineyards extensively, guided by a belief that the most compelling wines are inseparable from the people and places that produce them.
