Once looked down upon by wine enthusiasts, these days Gamay is experiencing a renaissance in popularity. 

Join Victoria Daskal DipWSET for a deep dive into this often misunderstood varietal.

You'll discover the history of the grape as the outlawed Burgundy varietal, and explore its home turf of Beaujolais. Victoria will discuss soil diversity, AOC laws and winemaking from carbonic maceration to minimal intervention. Trace Gamay's footsteps beyond Beaujolais – you'll taste some French examples from the Auvergne and Loire regions, and finish with styles from USA and Australia. All alongside some cheese and charcuterie from Borough Market.
